Friday, April 29

*12:07 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a vehicle in Early.  According to the report, a GPS unit was stolen during the burglary.

*9:41 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Vincent Street.  According to the report, this stop led to the discovery that the passenger of the vehicle, identified as 29-year-old Jarvis Coleman of Brownwood, was in possession of marijuana.  Jarvis was arrested for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.

*11:36 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Lovers Ln. and Blarney Dr. Brownwood, TX 76801. During the course of the stop, the deputy noted an odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search on the car which led to the discovery of about 4.7 ounces of marijuana without packaging. Both adult occupants of the car, identified as 43-year-old Jennifer Lilly and 32-year-old Ryan Michael Schwab, both of Brownwood, were questioned about the contraband and eventually arrested for possessing it. Lilly was charged with possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds.  Schwab was charged with possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Colbey Ray Owings of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Wanda Lawhon Roe of Brownwood on a warrant for tampering with a witness.  Roe was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Edgar Eugene St. Jean for driving while intoxicated with open container.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 65-year-old William Bing Wallace of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility.

Saturday, April 30

*9:22 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, a flat screen television was stolen from the residence.

*2:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.

*11:15 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 10th Street and Coggin Avenue.  According to the report, in plain view was a set of knuckles in the glove box of the vehicle.  The incident of possession of a prohibited weapon was documented, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Mary Oshay of Early for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Jessie Ray Walls of Blanket on warrants related to failure to appear/failure to identify fugitive give false information, driving while license invalid, violate promise to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility, operate unregistered motor vehicle and display/obtain wrong license plate.

Sunday, May 1

*4:00 AM – A Brownwood Police observed a vehicle make a wide right hand turn onto W. Austin Avenue, passing on the inside lane and continued on to the turning lane against oncoming traffic.  According to the report, a traffic stop was made in the 700 block of Austin Avenue and the driver was noticed to have an intoxicated appearance and smell of alcohol.  The driver, identified as 25-year-old Sandy Louise Gallardo of Brownwood, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and refused consent for a blood draw.  A warrant was sought and a blood draw was taken at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

*10:49 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on Hwy 279 in reference to an employee finding illegal drugs in the business.

*3:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of E. U.S. Hwy 377 and CR 334.  According to the report, during the traffic stop, the deputy discovered the driver was on probation.  A search of the vehicle was conducted, which lead to the discovery of methamphetamine. As a result of this stop, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Amber Dawn Beam of Brownwood, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and expired registration.

*3:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding a suspicious person.  According to the report, the male subject was flagging down cars in the bank parking lot and drinking beer.  As a result of this call, 36-year-old Jon Garza of Coleman was arrested for public intoxication.

*4:32 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a building on Belle Plain.  According to the report, a convenience store had been broken into and numerous tobacco items, alcohol, and sodas were taken.

*4:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Schroeder Lane regarding theft.  According to the report, a cell phone was taken and the suspect refused to return the phone.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Steven Michael Pringle of Blanket for theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750.
