BAAPG_2016HPUExhibition

Howard Payne University is hosting an art exhibition featuring the Brownwood Art Association Photo Group. The exhibition is free to the public and is being held in the Dorothy and Wendell Mayes Art Gallery inside the university’s Doakie Day Art Center. Exhibition hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays through May 6.

The Brownwood Art Association Photo Group is an informal organization consisting of members who are interested in photography as well as promoting the visual arts in the community. The exhibition titled “Beauty through the Eyes of a Photographer…A Journey in Print” features all experience levels of work from the photo group. There are 52 photographs representing 13 different photographers. The photos on exhibition vary and should be of interest to all who attend.

The Doakie Day Art Center is located on the HPU campus, on Center Avenue, near Lipscomb Street in Brownwood.

For more information, contact David Harmon, professor of art and chair of the Department of Art at (325) 649-8088 or [email protected].
