Brownwood City Council Agenda

Regular Called Meeting

9:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Council Chambers, City Hall

501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas

The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

1. Call to Order

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Invocation

4. Items to be withdrawn

5. Introductions, Announcements, and Recognitions

6. Citizen Presentations

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Consider authorizing the purchase of a 370E 37 ton John Deere Articulated Dump truck (ADT) from Yellowhouse Machinery and to exceed the cost which was budgeted on a capital lease.

10.  Ordinances and Resolutions
A.  Consider the adoption of a Resolution directing the publication of a Notice of Intention to issue Certificates of Obligation.

B.  Consider a Resolution authorizing the sale of certain real property owned by the City of Brownwood.

C.  Consider a Resolution requiring Oncor to show cause of why its transmission and distribution rates should not be reduced.

11.  Agreements and Contracts
A.  Consider authorizing the Mayor Pro Tem to sign a development agreement with Duckhorn Developers, LLC.

12.  Reports
A.  Bugetary Control Report

B.  Investment Report – First Quarter

C.  Municipal Development District Election – voting times:

April 26 – April 29, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
May 2-3, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Election Day May 7, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Voting location – Adams Street Community Center – 511 E. Adams Street

D.  May 10, 2016 Council Meeting and Workshop to begin at 3:00 p.m.
