ChairezJourneyFuneral Services for Journey Dior Chairez, age 3, of Early will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Holamon officiating; interment will follow at Jordan Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Journey was granted her angel wings on Friday, April 22, 2016, when she began her joyfully restored life with her Heavenly Father.

Journey was born February 6, 2013, to Joshua Chairez and Brittly Franklin in Austin, Texas. Though Journey’s life seemed too short to many, she touched and left a footprint on her family and friends’ lives. Her smile and constant laughter could melt the hearts of everyone around her. Journey’s energetic personality could not be slowed down, even during her brave battle.

Journey’s favorite movie to watch was Frozen or as she called it “Let It Go”; she also watched her favorite cartoons, Daniel the Tiger and Caillou. She loved kittens and the color purple.

Left to cherish Journey’s life are her parents, Joshua Chairez and Brittly Franklin of Early; big brother, Braylon Chairez of Early; paternal grandmother, Eva “Mima” Roldan of Brownwood; maternal grandparents, Tina “Bubbles” Holamon and James “Poppy” Worsham of Early; paternal great-grandmother, Maxine Mascorro of Brownwood; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Curry of Early; maternal great-grandparents Bobby and Sharon Holamon of Snyder; aunts, Veronica Chairez, Roxanne Chairez, Danika Franklin, Melissa Sudderth, and Michelle Gonzales; uncles, Brant Villapondo, Bryce Gutierrez, and Chason Franklin. She is also survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She joins in Heaven her paternal grandfather, Arturo “Pipa” Roldan; and maternal grandfather, Gary Franklin.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Brownwood and Early community, Ronald McDonald House, Hospice of San Angelo, and to family and friends for the outpouring of love and support.

Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
