The Brownwood High School One Act Play, “39 Steps” is advancing to the state UIL competition.

The play, adapted from an Alfred Hitchcock film, and directed by BHS Theatre teacher, Shannon Lee, has advanced through several rounds of UIL contests from district through the regional competition held at Texas Tech earlier this week.

Their performance regionals earned the cast and crew the following awards:

Outstanding Lighting Technician: Jason Sanchez

Outstanding Stage Manager: Kyle Cummings

Honorable Mention All Star Cast: Ben McCoy, Cole Sparks

All Star Cast: Mitchel Doud, Kamrey Windham
