BRMCHealthExpo2014

Brownwood Regional Medical Center invites the public to their annual Health Expo, which runs through 1 p.m. today, Thursday, at the Brownwood Coliseum.

Organizers encourage those interested to come to the Health Expo for free health screenings including total cholesterol, pulse oxygen level, grip strength, blood pressure/heart rate, body fat composition, reflex check, hearing screening, vision screening, weight check, spinal screening and custom foot orthodics.  These screenings started early so that everyone can attend, no matter what their work schedule may be.

Those attending can meet with physician office representatives, join Senior Circle (for those ages 50 & better), drive the pedal car with fatal vision goggles and win door prizes.

There will be over 60 booths representing hospital services, safety/health related area businesses and organizations.  The event provides a wealth of health information that is all available for free.  Organizers explain that attending the Health Expo is a great way to receive free health and wellness screenings to determine the key to great health.

Cholesterol checks can be done in just 5 minutes and 6 stations will be available.  Fasting before the finger stick blood draw is preferred for the most accurate reading but not required.
