Bangs Business Association Welcomes Three Chicks Treasures with Ribbon Cutting

A grand opening and ribbon cutting was held recently for Three Chicks Treasures in Bangs. The store carries a variety of items from antiques and crosses to contemporary gifts.

Pictured from left are Shirley Bowman, Karen Melot, owners Cynthia and Tim Johnson, Bangs Business Association Vice-President LaFreda Kilburn and BBA President Rick Phelps. The Bangs Business Association is open to all who are passionate about growth in the Bangs community.

The next meeting of the organization will be June 7 at the Bangs Housing Authority (community center) building, located at 406 E. Spencer.

The BBA is in charge of the May 7 Mayfest parade and assists with other events in the community throughout the year. Lineup for the Mayfest parade will be May 7 at 9:30 a.m. on Gantt St. in Bangs. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. All are welcome to take part. For questions or for anyone interested in joining, call Phelps at 200-1267.
