Wednesday, April 13

*12:31 AM- A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 67 W and County Road 157.  According to the report, during the stop nervous behavior was detected and a search was conducted on the driver’s person which led to the discovery of approximately 0.7 grams of methamphetamine without packaging.   A probable cause search of the vehicle was then conducted, which led to the discovery of about 0.1 grams of THC oil, the report states. After conducting a field investigation, the driver and front passenger were arrested for the THC oil, due to their immediate accessibility to it, the deputy reported. The driver was also arrested for having a suspended license and the front passenger was arrested for pending arrest warrants. The rear passenger was released from detainment.

*6:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding the forgery of a check.  According to the report, there are no suspects at this time.

*7:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center regarding harassment.  According to the report, the deputy spoke with the complainant and witnesses, and during the interview process, a witness stated she believed she had been sexually assaulted by the complainant’s boyfriend. Detailed reports of the incidents were taken, according to the deputy.

*8:27 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 11th Street regarding an intoxicated female.  According to the report, an anonymous caller advised that an intoxicated female was “charging passing cars, pretending to be a charging bull.”  After an investigation, the female, identified as 39-year-old Erika Lenz of Brownwood, was arrested for assault family violence and public intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Larry Wayne Durham, Jr. of Coleman, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram and on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.  Durham was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $11,500 as of Thursday morning.

*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Shanda Lean Foster of Brownwood on a parole warrant.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old kensley Nicole Gardner of Brownwood on a warrant related to parent contributing to non-attendance.

*Brownwood police arrested 21-year-old Jocab Munoz of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Shay Lee Sledge of Brownwood for resisting arrest, failure to signal, expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to display driver’s license.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
