Carlton Bramblett

BramblettCarltonFuneral services for Carlton Bramblett, age 73, of Bangs, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Pepper Dill and David Barnum officiating.  Interment will follow in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bramblett passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Brownwood.

Carlton was born on April 24, 1942 in Center Point (Mills County), Texas to L.B. and Wilma (Long) Bramblett.  He graduated from Mullin High School and married Linda Martin on February 1, 1964.  Carlton served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968.  He worked as a machinist for M&F Gauge for a number of years before retiring.

Carlton was a member of Bangs First Baptist Church where he attended the Genesis Sunday School Class.  He was happiest spending time with his grandsons, wood working and gardening.  He also enjoyed rodeos and following the bull riders in PBR.

Carlton is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Linda Bramblett of Bangs; a daughter, Dedra Mackey and husband Brent of Clyde; a son, Damon Bramblett and friend Rebecca Lawrence of Austin; two grandchildren, Konner and Karter Mackey of Clyde; two sisters, Patsy Wilcox and husband Bob of Goldthwaite and Carolyn Hampton and husband Doug of Bangs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Peggy Miller and Judy Cheryl Bramblett; and a brother, Charlie Bramblett.
