LatchKeyRaffle2016Pearl Griffin Memorial Latch Key Program and its students are preparing for the annual hamburger supper and raffle benefiting Latch Key which will be held today, April 5th, from 5-7 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church.

The hamburger supper fundraiser is the biggest fundraiser the program has each year. This is an opportunity for the community to come together and see how their donations to the program are used to see the children they are helping with their donations.  Each year the Pecan Valley Kiwanis volunteer their time and cooking abilities to grill up burgers and hotdogs for the event.

Tickets can be purchased from any board member and the Latch Key office at 2411 Coggin or at the door the night of the event. Tickets are $4 for children and $6 for adults and include a hotdog or hamburger with chips and a drink. There will be a bake sale available for desserts prepared by board members and parents of the children.

In conjunction with the hamburger supper, there will be a raffle drawing at 7 PM on April 5th (immediately following the fundraiser). This year’s raffle will have several winners. The top prize is a Texas Rangers mini vacation, sponsored by Songbird Lodge, Texas Bank, Encompass Home Health and the Texas Rangers, and includes 2 Texas Rangers tickets, hotel for 1 night and a nice meal.  Drawings for other prizes, sponsored by Car Corral, will include gift cards from Walmart and to local restaurants. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each and 6 for $5, and are available from any board member, the Latch Key office and during the fundraiser.

All items for the hamburger supper and raffle are donated to the program from local community supporters, board members, families and the Texas Rangers.  100% of all money raised will be kept within the program.  Latch Key helps qualifying families in the Brownwood ISD with afterschool child care. There is no charge for this care to the families. This program helps many families in Brownwood and with this fundraiser and raffle may continue to do so.

Latch Key is a United Way organization.

For more information, questions or to purchase tickets for businesses or offices, please call the Latch Key office at 325-646-2138 and Latchkey representatives can make an office visit to sell tickets to groups.
