HarrisGenevaGeneva Harris, 64, of Coleman died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Coleman County Medical Center.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating.  Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Geneva Irene Pittard on November 16, 1951 in Rockwood to Clyde Pittard and Eddie Lois Wesson Pittard.  She grew up and attended school in Santa Anna.  On May 23, 1969, Geneva married Joe Harris in Santa Anna.  Geneva was involved with the Home Demonstration Club and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.  She was great mom and terrific Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Harris of Coleman; three children, Teresa Smith and husband, Mark, of Valera, Debbie Smith and husband, Shelby, of Graham, Todd Harris and wife, Hope, of Coleman; two sisters, Karol Buse and husband, Travis, of Regency, Linda Pittard of Mountain Home; seven grandchildren, Trent, Trevor and Hailea Smith, all of Valera, Taylor and Brett Smith, both of Graham, Trotter and Tallye Harris, both of Coleman; one great grandchild, Jordan Smith of Valera and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Lupus Foundation of American.
