Blanket High School Golf Teams Earn Top Honors at District 19A Tournament

Blanket High School Boys’ and Girls’ Golf Teams placed first at the District 19A Golf Tournament at PAR Country Club in Comanche on Wednesday, March 23rd.

With a total score of 390, the girls’ team was ahead of 2nd place team, Priddy High School, by 54 strokes.  Lady Tiger golfers Marki Kinkade (81), Emily Furry (97), and Cassie Furry (101) took top honors of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals.  Kenzie Tidwell rounded out the District Championship team with a score of 111.

A total score of 405 took the boys’ team to the top, as 1st place team with a total score of 405, ahead of the 2nd place team, Zephyr High School, by 95 strokes.   Tigers Luke Kinkade (76) finished 1st, and Toby Florence (87) earned a 3rd place finish individually.  Jason Schwab (101) and Liam Menchaca (141) completed the District Championship team.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will compete at the Regional Tournament on April 11-12 at Legends Country Club in Stephenville, Texas.
