Wednesday, March 16

*5:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, March 17

*9:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Durango Court regarding theft.

*11:57 AM – Brownwood Police were on patrol in the area of Dublin Street and Lakeway Drive when they made contact and a stop on a female later identified as Wanda Roe.  Roe was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 ounce.

*3:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 7th Street regarding the theft of a cellular phone.

*5:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a store manager reported that she witnessed a female, later identified as Mary Hamill, steal items while using the self-check-out system.  Mary was located at a residence and arrested for class c theft and assault offensive contact.

*7:53 PM – Brownwood Police were patrolling near the intersection of W. Commerce and Cordell Street when they noticed a male subject laying in the roadway near a yellow motorcycle in the 100 block of Cordell Street with two other males standing next to him.  According to the report, when the male noticed the officers’ presence, he then stood up.  The officers made a welfare check on the subject and spoke to him about laying in the roadway blocking the lane of traffic, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of 52-year-old Warren Bellinger of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s sergeant received a report of credit card abuse.  According to the report, the victim’s card had been used at Sam’s Club in Midland, Texas.

* A Brown County Sheriff’s sergeant received a report of credit card abuse.  According to the report, the victim’s card had been used at Home Depot and Sam’s Club in the Houston area.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jose Antonio Carrizales, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession with intent to deliver.

*44-year-old Dale Walker Harwell, Jr. of Santa Anna turned himself in on a Young County warrant related to driving while license invalid with previous conviction/without financial responsibility.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Johntavian Deshawn Jones of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Cody Russell Labruyere of Brookesmith, Texas on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal for driving while intoxicated 3rd.  Labruyere was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
