JaxonShipleyCarlWayneCPAuctionItemsOrganizers are getting ready for this Saturday’s 41st annual Cherry Pie radio auction, which benefits Brownwood area youth sports.

The Cherry Pie Auction features hundreds of items to bid on, everything from food to automotive goods and services; home decor items; and the always popular sports memorabilia.  Among the sports items donated is a 2015 MLB All-Star baseball, signed by all the members of the National League all-star team this past summer, donated by Shelby and Mitch Miller; a 5-day golf package to the Austin country club to attend this year’s 64-player match play event; lots of Dallas Cowboys signed items and Jaxon Shipley autographed footballs and much more.

The auction runs from 9:00 a.m. until noon this Saturday at the Adams Street Community Center, and is also broadcast live on 101.3, KOXE.

Last year’s event raised just over $18,000 for Centex soccer; Soccer for Fun; Brownwood Youth Softball; Teenage Baseball; and Freshman League Baseball.

Pictured above, KOXE’s Carl Wayne and Jaxon Shipley hold autographed footballs.
