Brookesmith student Madellyne Adams earned the title of Grand Champion Red Brangus Female this past weekend at the Houston Livestock Show.  The Red Brangus heifer she showed is one of Don and Stephanie Bostick’s heifers, Bostick’s Ruby 45C.

Madellyne is a member of the Brown County 4-H.  She also shows steers and this year she showed goats.  Madellyne is the daughter of Skip and Shey Adams of Brookesmith.

Madellyne returned home Sunday for break before she had to go back to Houston to show her steer at the end of this week.

“Madellyne is an excellent showman and always put her heart into showing,” said Stephanie Bostick.  “We are so proud of her accomplishment at the Houston Livestock show and wish her well this week with her steer.”

Adams’ next trip with Bostick’s Ruby 45C will be in late July when the pair compete at the National Red Brangus show in College Station.

Madellyne is pictured above with Bostick’s Ruby 45C, Brown County Extension Agent Nick Gonzales, her parents Skip and Shey Adams, Dustin Bostick, Stephanie Bostick, and Dylan Bostick along with other friends and family.
