Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Troy Lee Covington pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Alexis Daniel Rodriguez pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Rodriguez pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Richard Leroy Prather pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity – Forgery and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jerry Wayne Kile, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Chad Payne pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Shaw Wendel Wagner pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Cody Robert Thompson pled no contest to the state jail felony offense of Theft-Enhanced and was sentenced to 8 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
