Update – Final Results Brown County Republican Primary Election

9:35 PM Update: Final results with all precincts reporting.

Final results show Incumbent District Attorney Micheal Murray defeating challenger Bill Ruth with 71.25% of the votes.

Vance Hill defeated all candidates for Brown County Sheriff with 51.07% of ballots cast and avoiding a runoff.

Precinct 3 Commissioner Wayne Shaw (incumbent) received 53.36% of the votes and beat challengers Jessica Acker and Pat McLaughlin also avoiding a runoff.

In the race for County Commissioner, Precinct 1, Incumbent Gary Worley will face Tommy Blevins in a runoff election in May as no candidate received more than 50% of the vote.

Brown County voters cast their ballots Tuesday in the Primary Elections.  At 7 PM, election officials released early voting totals.  More results will be available as each precinct ballot box is counted.  In early voting, more than 4000 ballots were cast in Brown County.

Results for early voting in Brown County for the contested races of District Attorney, Sheriff, and Commissioners for Precinct 1 and 3 are below.  Watch for live updates as ballots are counted Tuesday night and totals are released.

Results are considered unofficial until canvassed and approved.

Unopposed races are District Judge, County Attorney, Tax Assessor Collector, Constable Precinct 1, Constable Precinct 2, Constable Precinct 3, Constable Precinct 4, and Republican County Chairman.
