Peggy Robertson Polk Gips, age 83, born October 7, 1932 in Sudan, Texas died February 27, 2016 at 12:55am. She died after a lengthy illness in Comanche County Hospital.

She is survived by a brother Ronnie Robertson of Lubbock & his wife Sharon. Two daughters Shelly Bailey of Rising Star and Melinda Hosler and her husband Butch Hosler of Houston. Three grandchildren Brian Bailey of Cisco, Texas, Blair Bailey of Overton, Oklahoma, Margaret Barrett of Los Angeles, California. Three Great-Grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Trent Bailey all of Cisco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Strother in 2004.

Peggy grew up & lived in the Lubbock area until about 1968 where she moved to Dallas and later to Houston where she lived for 25 years. She moved to Rising Star in November 2013, where she lived at Rising Star Nursing Center. She was a secretary, school bus driver and became an LVN later in life. She loved decorating and keeping a beautiful yard.

Funeral Services will take place at New Life Church in Rising Star on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Mike McGinn officiating. Burial will be in Lubbock, Texas at Resthaven Memorial Park on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.
