MorganJoeBobJoe Bob Morgan, age 88, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Graveside Services for Joe Bob will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Heflin Cemetery with Tony King officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Joe Bob was born to Luther and Emma (Perry) Morgan on August 28, 1927, in Brownwood, Texas. He married the love of his life, Wanda Anderson on December 24, 1943, in Brady, Texas.

Joe Bob was in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. He was the owner of Morgan’s Gun Shop and Morgan Storage for many years. Joe Bob was a former County Commissioner and Bailiff for Judge Cadenhead. He also served as a Justice of the Peace for over 20 years in Brown County. Joe Bob was an Ordained Minister and Pastor; he served several churches around Brown County.

Joe Bob is survived by his wife of 72 years, Wanda Morgan; son, Stephen Morgan and wife Deborah of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Chris Ezra, Rhonda Ezra, Robert Morgan, and Samantha Morgan; great-grandson, Tyler Edwards; great-great-grandson, Easton Toby Edwards; sister, Mary McQueen and husband Deen of Odessa. He is also survived by other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Emma Morgan; daughter, Bobbie Morgan Williams; son-in-law, Robert Williams; great-grandson, Toby Earp; brother, Kenneth Morgan; and sister, Emma B. Crawford.
