Below are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 55–59 degrees; 0.09’ low. Black bass to 3 pounds are good on spinnerbaits, green pumpkin soft plastic worms, and Senkos in flooded bushes in 2–8 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white or shad Li’l Fishies in 8–14 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on juglines baited with cut perch and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 54–58 degrees; 4.56’ low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse soft plastics and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are good on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 48–54 degrees; 46.36’ low. Black bass are fair on Senkos with a 1/16 oz. bullet weight, Texas rigs, jigs and Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 56–60 degrees; 0.51’ high. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and soft plastic worms off points. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in 10–20 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on live shad and minnows in 20–25 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
