Brownwood emergency responders were called to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Coggin Avenue Friday afternoon.

According to witnesses on scene, the driver came to the stop on 8th Street and spun his wheels as he turned right onto Coggin Avenue and then crashed into the telephone pole, which caused the vehicle to flip onto its top.

The driver explained to law enforcement that he was blinded by the sun, losing visibility, as he turned the corner and suddenly struck the pole.

The male driver of the vehicle was reported to be uninjured; however, his car had to be towed from the scene.
