Diana Joan Marr

MarrDianaDiana Joan Marr passed peacefully from this life on February 12, 2016. She was born to Joan and John Locke in, Glendale, California on August 11, 1941.

Her father worked for Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios as a sound engineer. Diana grew up in Hollywood and attended Hollywood Professional School with her best friend Annette Funicello, and other famous names of the era.  She owned and operated Diana’s Answering Service during the 1970s, located in North Hollywood, California and sold that business to move with her family to Brownwood in 1980.  She helped to build Charlie’s Appliances in Brownwood and lived on Baker Street until she entered Oak Ridge last year.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joan and John Locke, two sons, Russell and David Marr.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen Kenig and Charlie Harris of Austin, TX and son Danny Marr of Brownwood.  She has 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center, 3016 Milam Drive, Brownwood, 76801 or your charity of choice.
