Those involved in raising sheep and/or goats may want to mark their calendar for Monday, February 22, 2016.  That is the date of a sheep/goat program which will be held at the Brown County Extension Office located at 605 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood, Texas.  The program will begin at 6:00 p.m.  Dr. Reid Redden, Extension Sheep/Goat Specialist from San Angelo will present the program.

Dr. Reid will discuss management of bred ewes/nannies, scrapie and sore mouth disease management and other health issues.  This program is open to anyone interested.

There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door.  Last year was rough on commercial sheep/goat producers.  Numerous animal health issues resulted in heavy death losses.  We aim to try to prevent some of these animal health issues this year.
