LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

Monday, February 1

*6:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street.  According to the report, two males and a female subject entered the store and the males stole a bottle of liquor and two energy drinks.  Criminal charges are being pursued, the report states.

Tuesday, February 2

*2:15 AM – Brownwood Police responded to an alarm at a convenience store, located in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue.  According to the report, the drive-through window of the business had been damaged.

*3:20 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, the complainant had returned home to find a light on and the front door cracked open.  After investigation, it was determined that the residence had been burglarized, the report states.

*8:23 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 4th Street and Travis Street.  According to the report, the vehicle did not have a front license plate.  The driver, identified as Billy Ray Cooper of Brownwood, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, the report states.  Cooper was subsequently arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions/suspension without financial responsibility.

*9:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a property on County Road 180 regarding a damaged fence which had been struck by a vehicle overnight.

*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of Michael Ryan Ellis of Brownwood for Assault family violence by strangulation.

*2:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a soft drink, an energy drink and 74 various items of clothing were stolen from the business.  Total value of the items stolen was reported to be just under $800, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of Lora Kay Burns of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $750 less than $2500, according to the report.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had stolen multiple items from his shop and home totaling approximately $5,765 as of the time of this report.

*46-year-old Shaunna Paige Harmes of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 greater than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Victoria Kathryn Holloway of Brownwood on warrants related to abandon endanger child criminal negligence, motion to revoke/possession in a drug free zone, injury to a child and expired driver’s license.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Sean Jeffery Smith of Teague, Texas on warrants related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and motion to revoke/assault family/house member impede breath.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Jerrod Levi Stembridge of Bangs on a warrant related to failure to appear/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Chad Allan Wittke of Blanket for prohibited weapos/knuckles.

Wednesday, February 3

*12:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue D regarding drugs/narcotics.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend was in possession of drugs.

*17-year-old Sheyleigh Brooke Bell of Brownwood was arrested on charges of theft of services equal or greater than $100 less than $750 and criminal trespass.

*17-year-old Alexis Tompkins of Brownwood was arrested for theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
