18th Annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit Set to Open Feb. 7th

The 18th Annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit officially got under way as 152 artists from 43 cities and towns throughout Texas submitted 323 pieces of art.  The exhibit will be held at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center February 7-19.

Juror Warren Taylor of San Angelo selected 133 pieces for the exhibit.  Those not chosen for the juried exhibition were invited to exhibit their artwork in the Salon des Refusés where 86 pieces were entered.

The Arts Council will be hanging the artwork this week.  Art lovers of all ages may view the Stars of Texas Exhibit and The Salon des Refusés which will be open February 7-19 the following hours:

Monday – Friday:    9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday:  10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday:  1:00 p.m. –  4:00 p.m.

The Salon des Refusés will be held at the Brownwood Art Associaton Art Center located at 215 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood.
