Early ISD announced students who met the Accelerated Reading goals for the third six weeks of this school year.

For 1st graders, AR Goals are based on meeting individually set goals. Each child is required to meet their goal by the end of each six weeks. Individual goals are set based on students’ reading ability. These goals are met by having an 80% or higher average and meeting individual earned points.

2nd graders are challenged with point value goals which increase each six weeks throughout the year.  During the second six weeks, students were required to earn a minimum of 15 points.  If students meet these point requirements plus score 85% as an average for AR tests by the cutoff date, they are rewarded with an AR party each six weeks.

Early Primary first grade and second grade classes that reached their accelerated reading goals for the 3rd six weeks are pictured below.  Above is Mrs. Sandoval’s 1st grade class.
