Brownwood Police Department recognized two officers’ recent promotions in a badge pinning ceremony at the Brownwood City Council meeting on Tuesday morning.

Corporal Stephanie Morgan was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and Officer Brandon Miller was promoted to Corporal.

Morgan and Miller took the Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath of Honor and then badges were ceremoniously pinned.  Morgan’s badge was pinned by her partner of 10 years, Kendra Galloway.  Miller’s badge was pinned by his wife Angie.

Brownwood Chief of Police Mike Corley stated that both officers took tests to make their promotions but have been excellent officers, going above and beyond the requirements of their positions.  In recognition of their service to the City of Brownwood, Corley presented each a Challenge Coin as a token of appreciation.

Pictured above are Corporal Miller (left) and Sergeant Morgan (right) taking their oaths during the ceremony.
