The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club recently gave a donation to the Brown County Youth Fair.

Mr. Daniel Purcell, representing the Brown County Youth Fair, spoke to the Kiwanis group at their weekly meeting Thursday, giving members a good deal of insight into the annual event.

“This year 467 kids have entered animals and/or crafts in the fair,” said Kiwanis member Don Holland. “What a good and worthwhile event this is, and the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club is honored to support the event.”

The Brown County Youth Fair will kick off with the Home Economics Division fashion show Monday night, January 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Home Economics building.  Livestock shows will begin on Wednesday morning and will wrap up on Saturday, followed by the annual premium sale Saturday night.  For a full schedule of events of the 64th annual Brown County Youth Fair, CLICK HERE.
