Cities of Brownwood and Early Christmas Holiday Schedules

CityofBrownwoodlogo_smallIn observance of the Christmas Holidays, Brownwood City Hall and other City departments other than emergency services, will be closed on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th.  Residents with blue or green trash carts scheduled for curbside garbage collection, please note that your collection days will be revised as follows:

  • Thursday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, December 23rd.
  • Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, December 26th.

The Recycling Center and Landfill will also be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th and will reopen on Saturday, December 26th for normal operating hours.

The City collects bulky items including brush and tree limbs from residential customers at no charge, please cut them into lengths of 5 feet or less and notify the Sanitation Department at 643-4200 or submit a request online at http://www.ci.brownwood.tx.us/sanitation.htm.

For problems related to water or sewer service within the City of Brownwood, customers may call 646-6000, 24 hours per day 7 days per week.

Early City Hall will also be closed Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th.

Trash routes for the Christmas holiday will be as follows:

  • All residential trash will be picked up on Tuesday, December 22nd
  • Commercial routes will be picked up on Wednesday, December 23th
