Jennalee Murry

Jennalee Murry, 75, of Abilene, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at her residence.  Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Gouldbusk Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Stovall officiating.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Jennalee Murry was born April 26, 1940 in Abilene to Willis Jarrell Hale and Ona May Rutledge Hale.  She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1958.  She married Dwain Murry and he preceded her in death.  She later married Chuck Long.  Jennalee worked at J.C. Penny and Montgomery Ward.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Abilene.

Survivors include her brother, Ross Hale and wife, Sharon; four grandchildren, Ashley McPherson, Richard McPherson, Will Barker, Morgan Barker; son-in-law, Jerry Don Barker; sister-in-law, Wanda Jewel; nieces and nephews, including Vicki Short, Michael Jewel and Steven Jewel.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy McPherson, Melinda Barker; one son, David Dwain Murry.

Visitation with the family will from 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
