Mark Joseph Baldwin, 45, of Azle, was called home Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, after fighting a long, hard battle with diabetes. He passed peacefully, with his family at his side.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Interment will follow in Cedar Pointe Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Heartland Funeral Home.
One of Mark’s last requests was for everyone to dress nicely for his last goodbye.

Mark was born Jan. 25, 1970 in Brownwood to John and Kathy Baldwin. He married his childhood sweetheart, Linda, at the age of 19, and together they raised five children.

Mark worked as a tree climber and trimmer, and was very passionate about his work. He loved the challenge of climbing a big tree – and he loved to tell the story afterward.

A former Golden Gloves boxer, he was known for his love of fast cars, Chevy trucks and motorcycles. He was passionate about food and enjoyed cooking and trying many different foods. He also enjoyed classic Country music, traveling and playing pool with friends.

But most important to Mark was his family, who were always close to his heart. His children and grandchildren meant everything to him, and he always looked forward to watching his kids play sports. Becoming a grandfather made him the happiest man alive.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Baldwin; father-in-law, Edwin Berry; grandmother, Nelly Reeves; grandfather, Lonnie Baldwin; grandmother, Daisy Chambers; and aunt Annetta Baldwin.
He is survived by his father, John Baldwin of Azle; mother of his children and lifelong close friend Linda Baldwin of Fort Worth; daughters Brittany Baldwin, 25, of Lake Worth, April Baldwin, 23, of Saginaw, Shanda Baldwin, 22, of Fort Worth, Shayla Baldwin, 22, and fiance Justin Demaree of Azle; son Mark Baldwin, Jr., 17, of Azle; grandsons Julian, 4, and Alijah, 6 months, Baldwin of Lake Worth; and his only granddaughter, Presleigh Demaree, 5 months, of Azle; sister Teresa and husband Gary of Fort Worth; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Rest in Paradise Superman.

Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
