Lake Brownwood State Park will host their fourth annual “Holiday at the Lake” event this Saturday, December 19th from 6-9 p.m.  The public is invited to attend this special event.

Visitors can bring camping gear and decorations for a competition for the best decorated campsite. Judging will take place at 6:00 p.m., and at 7:00 p.m. the winner will be announced at the Group Dining Hall.  The camping fee for Saturday night will be waived for the winner.

A ranger talk will begin immediately after the winner of the decorating contest is announced.  There will also be cookie decorating, historic toy making, hot chocolate, coffee and a visit from Santa.

Normal park entry fees apply:  $4/person, kids 13 and under are free.  Call the park office at (325) 784-5223 for applicable fees and reservation.  Photos contributed.
