Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Trevolia Rudd pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault Family Violence – Occlusion and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Rudd, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Larry Wigfield, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced, was revoked and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Cassidy Cruz, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Rogelio Barboza Castro, on probation for the felony offense of Assault with Injury-Family Violence, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Karl Brian King, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Joseph Anthony Mendieta, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone, was revoked and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jonathan Wesley Branscum, on probation for the felony offenses of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

George Ezequiel Lopez, Jr., on probation for the state jail felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Deena Drake, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of Marijuana, was adjudicated and sentenced to 14 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
