Christmas Under the Stars Festival Set for This Weekend

Final preparations for the 7th annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival are underway and the public is invited to attend this fun-filled family event on Friday, December 4th and Saturday, December 5th from 4-8 PM at the Depot Complex and the Lehnis Railroad Museum.

The annual lighted Christmas Parade will be held tonight, Thursday, December 3rd at 6:30 PM in Downtown Brownwood sponsored by Texas Rock Crusher Railway to kick off the weekend activities.  CLICK HERE for parade route.

The Christmas Under the Stars Festival features holiday games, crafts, food and attractions for kids of all ages.  Key attractions will include Mr. and Mrs. Claus, giant slide, Big Wheel Races, carriage rides and Treats for Santa Contest.  HPU’s drama department will also offer a holiday play titled “The Twelve Days of Christmas.  Sponsors for the festival include KTXS, Howard Payne University, Wal-Mart, Brownwood Women’s Clinic, Allegiance Ambulance, Landmark Life, and Woodley & Dudley, Attorneys.
