LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19, 2015.

Monday, November 16

*A Brown County Sheriff’s sergeant received a report from a Brown County Precinct #3 foreman regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, a Brown County vehicle was burglarized and a laptop computer and a file folder were taken during the incident.

Tuesday, November 17

*1:29 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding fraudulent possession or use of identifying information.   According to the report, the complainant stated an unknown person(s) attempted to use his late wife’s identity to obtain two Sears charge cards.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been struck by a vehicle earlier that morning while walking into her place of business. A report was taken and photos were taken of the injuries the complainant claimed were a result of the accident.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Daniel Anthony Wallace of Brownwood on warrants related to expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.

Wednesday November 18

*5:38 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Avenue G regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, sometime during the night, a credit card, multiple identification cards, and $13 cash were stolen from inside the complainant’s vehicle.

*12:49 PM – Brownwood police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident at a local convenience store.  According to the report, vehicle struck a parked car and then fled the scene.

*2:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject lost his wallet and has noticed unauthorized charges on his credit cards.  Also lost were multiple forms of personal identification.

*6:53 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on FM 2492 in reference a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the caller advised that a relative and her boyfriend were fighting outside.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 43-year-old Larry Gordon Carpenter, Jr. of Brownwood for assault with bodily injury family violence – strangulation.

*7:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of 14th Street regarding an assault related to family violence.

*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of 11th Street regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, the back left door of her vehicle was damaged by a client.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Coiley T-Shane Burns of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear, failure to report change of address and failure to signal intent to turn.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Cody Timothy Spears of Rainbow, Texas on Erath County warrants related to two counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
