Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Martha Michelle Dabney, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was adjudicated and sentenced to 25 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Brian Glenn Kinsey, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault, was adjudicated and sentenced to 9 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Dustin Crosby pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Crosby, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, was revoked and sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Casey Tyson, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity was adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Britt Wade Stevens, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone, was revoked and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Daniel Matthew Simcox, on probation for the felony offense of Indecency with a Child, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.   Further, Simcox pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Haustin Simmons, on probation for the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 – Against Elderly Individual, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Michael Pittman pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Vick Dwayne York pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, York pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Also, York, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Reba Faye Buffington, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone, was revoked and sentenced to 10 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Buffington, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, was revoked and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
