Brownwood High School invites the public to help sendoff the Brownwood Lions to their second round playoff game and the Brownwood Lionettes as they leave for New York City to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The sendoff for both groups will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 20th at the State Championship monuments in front of the BHS gym.  Both groups will depart around 2:50 p.m., according to BHS Principal Mitch Moore.

The Lionettes will be in NYC until November 27th. Those viewing at home can watch the Macy’s parade for their performance with the Spirit of America Group.

The Brownwood Lions football team will be traveling to San Angelo where they will face Andrews High School in the playoffs.

“We would like to Brownwood support these kids traveling,” said Moore.  “Come out, bring your bells and Brownwood gear, and show them that this town is behind them.”
