Early Chamber of Commerce honored KOXE as their October Business of the Month.

KOXE is a local radio station playing the top country hits and golden country classics.  KBWD 1380 AM is KOXE’s sister station.  Magic 1380 KBWD plays adult contemporary #1 songs from the 60s through the 90s.

KBWD was the first radio station in Brownwood beginning in 1941.  KOXE was put on the air in 1975 and booms its 100,000 watt signal to everyone in Brownwood’s trade area of 10 counties and 130,000 people, according to chamber officials.
