Brownwood emergency responders were called to a three vehicle accident on Wednesday evening which sent two people to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of 15th Street and US Hwy 377 South.  According to emergency responders on scene a small Chevy truck attempted to turn onto Hwy 377 South, when it was struck by black pickup, causing it to collide with a tan pickup.

Two of the occupants of the vehicles were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and two other occupants were reported to be uninjured, according to responders on scene.

Traffic in north and southbound lanes were diverted as a result of the accident.

All three vehicles were damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
