Brown County emergency responders were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident which sent one occupant to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The accident occurred in the 4600 block of Hwy 183 North in Early, at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Thursday.   According to law enforcement on scene, the Dodge Stratus was traveling south on Hwy 183, when the 2005 Dodge pickup turned from Lofton Drive to head north on Hwy 183.  According to police, the pickup did not see the Stratus and pulled out.  Wet roads caused the Stratus to be unable to stop, resulting in the sedan colliding with the side of the pickup.

The Stratus had significant front end damage and was towed from the scene.

Early Police Department, Brownwood Police Department, Early Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and Allegiance Ambulance responded to the scene of the accident.
