LambertJoeJoe Lambert, age 69, of Mullin passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, at his residence. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015, at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas with Major Paul Blundell officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Joe was born to Roy, Jr. and Bess (Strickland) Lambert in Mercedes, Texas on June 22, 1946. Joe graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1964. Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in May of 1965. While serving in the USMC as a Rifleman, Joe earned several decorations and medals including a Purple Heart Medal. He retired as a Sergeant. He worked in security for many years. Most recently, he was a Ranch Manager at Rocky Creek Ranch in Mullin, Texas. Joe loved hunting and fishing, being outdoors, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Joe is survived by his mother, Bess Lambert of Kerrville; brother, Nelson Lambert and wife Liz of Ft. Worth; sisters, Jeanie Williamson and husband James of Kerrville and Maritia Blundell and husband Paul of Shevlin, Minnesota; five cousins; one aunt; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lambert, Jr.; son, Lance Lambert; and uncle, Robert Lambert.
