Brownwood emergency responders were busy Thursday morning as wet roads caused hazardous conditions and two accidents on C. C. Woodson Road.

A Chevy Tahoe collided with a telephone pole prior to 8:00 a.m. and a second collision occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. when the teenage driver of a Chevy pickup was looking at the damaged vehicle, according to a family member of the driver.  The driver of the pickup was reported to have been traveling northeast on the inside lane and did not notice the car in front of him which was stopped, preparing to turn left onto Opal Drive, beside Tractor Supply.

The collision caused substantial front-end damage to the pickup and also to the rear-end of the Lincoln MKZ.  The driver of the Lincoln was transported to the hospital by ambulance; the severity of his injury was unknown at the time of the accident.  The driver of the pickup was shaken but appeared to be uninjured.

Details of the first accident were not available at the time of this report.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Allegiance EMS responded to the scene of the accident.

Pictured above and below are photos of the damaged vehicles.
