The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 1st for The ARK Domestic Violence Shelter’s new administrative office building.

The ARK Domestic Violence Shelter moved their administration offices to 2900 Coggin Avenue, Suite A in Brownwood.  The new offices are open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding Holidays). Anyone that needs help or information may stop by anytime during those hours. There is no appointment necessary.

For emergency assistance 24/7 or to talk with an advocate about domestic violence issues, The ARK’s hotline number is (325) 643-2699 or toll free (888) 313-2699. The ARK is also accepting donations at the new location during business hours.  For large donations, or for furniture items, the shelter accepts them each weekday before noon only.

Pictured is The ARK Domestic Violence Shelter staff, Board, Law Enforcement Personnel, the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors and other supporters cutting the ribbon.
