Below are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 80–84 degrees; 1.73’ low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Pop Rs, crankbaits, minnows, and jigs under lights at night and around State Park and Sandy Beach. Crappie are good on white and shad Li’l Fishies and minnows in 12–16 feet. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 83–87 degrees; 7.24’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 74–83 degrees; 44.46’ low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to split shot rigged flukes, Texas rigs and finesses jigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 85–89 degrees; 0.76’ low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on silver spoons. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and liver. Yellow catfish are fair on live bait.
