Monday, September 21

*9:32 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she was assaulted by her ex-step daughter at a concert held downtown on Saturday.

Monday, September 28

*4:08 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.

*8:30 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had drawn graffiti on one of the company’s buildings.  An investigation is ongoing the report states.

*2:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to store management, two individuals stole five sirloin steaks from the store.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*4:48 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the burglary of a habitation on FM 2559 in May.  According to the report, several items were stolen from the residence.

*5:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3600 block of Arrowhead Drive regarding online impersonation.  According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.

*6:48 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2700 block of Belmeade Street regarding a domestic disturbance.   This call led to the arrest of 21-year-old Richard Ammons on an outstanding warrant related to motion to adjudicate/criminal trespass.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of numerous items of jewelry from an elderly female’s home in May, Texas.  According to the report, the value of the jewelry was more than $2,500 but less than $29,000.  A possible suspect was named.

*38-year-old Jerry Don McCain, Jr. of Abilene on warrants related to harassment/failure to appear, two counts of failure to appear and ran stop sign.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
