Early Elementary 5th Graders Present 9/11 Quilts Thanking First Responders for Their Service

Mrs. Paula Kinnin, Early Elementary 5th grade social studies teacher, had all five social studies classes make “9/11 Quilts” and passed them out on Friday, September 11th, honoring first responders on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. 

Each class made them for the following groups:

EarlyVFD2

Mrs. Kinnin’s class – Early Volunteer Fire Department

EarlyPD2

Mrs. Fleet’s class – Early Police Department

EMS

Mrs. Grimes’ class – Heart of Texas EMS

DPS2

Mrs. Hunter’s class – Texas Department of Public Safety

BCSO2

Mrs. Sullivan’s class – Brown County Sheriff’s Office

These quilts were greatly appreciated by all recipients.  Pictured at top is Mrs. Kinnin’s class presenting their quilt to Early Volunteer Firefighters.  Above are photos of the quilts and below are more of the first responders receiving them.
