A seal coat project on W. Commerce St. will result in traffic delays on Tuesday, and drivers are asked to use alternate routes if possible.

TxDOT contractors are scheduled to perform maintenance work on an approximately 1.5-mile section of W. Commerce St. (US 67/84) on Tuesday, Sept. 1. This seal coat project is designed to preserve and extend the life of the pavement between Romines St. (near Underwood’s BBQ) and the bottom of Bangs Hill near Bluffview Dr.

Work is scheduled to begin prior to 8 a.m., so morning commuters can expect delays in this area. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes if possible. This is scheduled to be a one-day project, with completion expected Tuesday afternoon.
