Margarita Estrada

EstradaMargarita died at home surrounded by her family and numerous friends, who adored her with all their heart on August 25, 2015.

Visitation will be held Friday August 28, 2015 at 6:00-8:00 with Rosary starting at 7:00 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday August 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at St Mary’s Catholic Church with graveside to follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Margarita was born December 1, 1942 to Emigdio and Beatriz Salcido in San Carlos, Coah, Mexico.  She married the love of her life Jose Luis Estrada on May 9, 1960 and together they raised seven children, five daughters Maricela Rodridquez and husband Heraclio of Stephenville, TX, Armandina Tobias and husband, Rudy, Ana Villarreal and husband Joe, Maria Cantu and husband, Joe, Martha Mares and husband Javier of Brownwood, TX two sons, Jose (Joey Luis Estrada Jr of Brownwood and Juan (Johhny) Estrada of Crandell, TX, ten granddaughters, six grandsons and six great grandchildren.

During her earlier years she worked at Brownwood Manufacturing.  She had a full time job and still came home to fix supper for her family.  She enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved dancing with her husband.  Together it was the most beautiful waltz.

Margarita was the oldest of twelve children, six sisters, Maria Avila, Ester Sosa, Lupe Barrera, of Del Rio TX, Martha Bastardo of Amarillo, TX, Ida Santillan of Virginia.  Six brothers, Donaciano (Chano) Salcido of Santa Anna TX, Gabriel Salcido of Houston TX, Jose (Pepe) Salcido of Amarillo TX, Pablo Salcido and Ernesto Salcido of San Antonio TX, Juan Salcido of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emigdio and Beatriz Salcido.
