Curtis Ray Deeds

DeedsCurtisA memorial service for Curtis Ray Deeds, age 57, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday in the Hope Class at the Austin Avenue Church of Christ.

Curtis died August 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on September 27, 1957 to John and Helen Deeds, the third of five children.  Curtis lived most of his life in Brownwood.  He married Misty Wakefield on August 18, 1986.  They had three children.  Curtis liked people and most of all, he wanted a motorcycle.  He dreamed of riding off into the sunset with the wind in his face to places unknown and living off the land.

Curtis is survived by two daughters, Joy Dillard and husband J.T. and Sarah Nuese; his mother, Helen Deeds of Brownwood, two brothers,  Randy Deeds and wife Sonja of Richardson and David Deeds and a sister, Pam Deeds; five grandchildren, Zayden, Xavier, Lance, Bralee and Jason; nephews, Danny Simcox  and Marcus Deeds, and very good friends, Chuck and Virginia.

 

He was preceded in death by his son, Erik Deeds, father, John Deeds, a sister, Joy Simcox, and grandparents, Elvie and Berta Lou Deeds, cousins, Vanessa Hall, Stevie Cole, Kathy Byrd, Hassie Simcox and Natasha Deeds.
