A private family memorial service for James Paul Bendt, age 56, of Brownwood formerly of California, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

James passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1959 in Pasadena, California.

James is survived by his father, Larry Dean Bendt, Sr; mother, Sandra Bendt-Aguilar; one brother, Jesse Bendt; and one niece; Melanie McCutcheon. He is also survived by other family members.
